Summary:Under the direction of reporting Supervisor, the Receptionist welcomes visitors to the facility by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, directs visitors and calls according to department directories, and maintains security by following visitor procedures.

Educación y experiencia laboral: Education equivalent to a high school diploma is required At least 2 years of experience in a medical /healthcare administrative role is preferred.

Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities: (This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time)

❖Answers phones promptly and pleasantly with appropriate telephone etiquette.
❖Appropriately prioritizes and transfers calls to the appropriate department, taking accurate messages.
❖Provides administrative assistant support to the Management team.
❖Prepares, files, stores, and scans documents for required administrative records.
❖Maintains the inventory of office supplies.
❖Makes arrangements for clients and/ or employees with special needs: arrange for a translator.
❖Provides a warm and welcoming environment for all
clients, family, and visitors to the facility.
❖Confirms demographic information upon check in and corrects any missing or incorrect information.
❖Accurately log all activity in the Electronic Health Record System.
❖Maintains confidentially adhering to the HIPAA laws and regulations.
❖Hands out employment applications.
❖Ensures reception area is tidy.

Knowledge/Special Skills/Abilities Needed:

❖Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills.
❖Ability toread, write and speak English and Spanish.
❖Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
❖Demonstrates use ofoffice-based equipment, i.e. copier, and scanner.
❖Dresses appropriately and wears name tag
❖Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize work.
❖Demonstrated ability to work independently and use sound judgment and discretion successfully.
❖Excellent organizational and time management skills.
❖Attention to detail and accuracy.
❖Ability to quickly establish rapport and build relationships.

Essential Functions:
Physical Demands: 80% sitting; 20% walking/standing; on occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include Close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
